Screening Information

Evidence-based screening tests are available for all eligible patients as an NHS service. 
Examples include:

  • Cervical screening

  • Child development

  • Blood pressure checks

  • Cholesterol Checks

  • Diabetes screening

  • Risk profiling for heart disease and stroke

  • Over 75 health checks

In addition further screening tests may be offered to those patients subject to particular risks or with certain chronic diseases.

Now that I am 30/40/50/60/70....

A lot of patients ask for a "general health check up" or screening tests when reaching a "milestone" age.  The checks or screening, we offer are available at any age, but are those that have evidence of being worthwhile performing and are dependant on your individual circumstances. This may be discussed with you in a routine appointment.
